What is Love? The Definition

I’m sick of teenagers who tell their partner they love them. As a teenager, I think it’s stupid and these people often don’t know what they’re talking about. This is my definition of true, authentic love; you are free to agree or disagree.

Love is exposing your vulnerabilities to another person and trusting them not to exploit them or you.

Love is caring more about another person than you do about yourself.

Love is caring about someone or something so deeply that you become desperate and irrational when it is withheld from you.

Love is caring about someone or something so deeply that you never wish to be parted from it.

Love is not a temporary infatuation.

Love is not a powerful desire and nothing more.

Love is not caring about someone else but still putting yourself first.

Love is about prioritization, selflessness, sacrifice, and vulnerability.
